茶马古道在历史上，在汉藏民族团结交流往来中发挥了最为重要的作用，是天下第一茶马古道。中国社科院有关专家就茶马古道的开发特作了这样的论述：“在这条古道上，集中了中国最好的自然景观和人文景观……”The ancient tea-horse road from Sichuan to Tibet played a crucial role in the history of solidarity and exchanges between the Han and Tibetan ethnic groups in China. It was the most prominent route among all the trade paths between Sichuan and Tibet. Scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences have described this ancient trade route in the following, “Along this ancient road have concentrated the best natural and human sights of China.”
